This is a Victorian Era Pattern Book called The Last and Best Book on Art Needlework, which was published by the Brainerd & Armstrong Company. The book is dated 1892. It is softcover. The contents include numerous needlework patterns for a variety of projects and techniques, including beadwork, crochet, knitting, embroidery, and mountmellick work. My favorite patterns are the ones for the delightful antique purses, bags and handbags. They are exquisite! But all the patterns in the book are interesting and charming. The photos below show some of the projects and patterns that are included in the book.
